Caption: Triangulum constellation. 13th-century Islamic manuscript illustration of the constellation of Triangulum. Stars are marked with yellow circles. The constellation is shown as mirror images to show it both as it appears on a celestial globe, and as it appears in the night sky. The text is in Arabic. This manuscript page is from 'Suwar al-kawakib' (1417), a later copy of a work commonly known as 'Book of the Fixed Stars'. This work was originally written in around 964 by the 10th-century Persian Islamic astronomer Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi.
