Caption: Illustration of the reproductive structures of the Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). Chromolithograph from Carl Lindman's Pictures of Northern Flora (1905). Lindman (1856-1928) was Professor of Botany at the Swedish Museum of Natural History. The chromolithographs were based on Johan Wilhelm Palmstruch's Svensk botanik.
