The wireframe surface around the atoms shows electrostatic potential, the ability of the different regions of the molecule to attract electrons, from red (highest attraction) through yellow and light blue to dark blue (least attraction). Vitamin A is essential for normal growth and development. It is found in eggs, liver oils and dairy products. It can also be made in the body from the carotene found in many fruits and vegetables.
