Caption: Health clinic. Doctor with children at a clinic in a local school in Senegal. This clinic is measuring the effect of the Great Green Wall project on local health. The Great Green Wall is a project developed by the African Union that aims to plant a wall of trees across Africa from Djibouti to Senegal, along the southern edge of the Sahara Desert, in order to help prevent further desertification. Where it has been constructed it has improved local life, helping the fight against disease and poverty.
