Caption: Mountain of mist in a valley. The mist formed beneath a temperature inversion, where cold moist air was trapped below a layer of less dense, warmer air. Localised warming allowed a portion of the trapped air to punch through the overlying air, leading to this rare formation. Filmed at Loughrigg, near Ambleside in the Lake District National Park, UK.
