Caption: Giant water flea (Leptodora kindtii) male, dark-field illumination light micrograph. Water fleas are small crustaceans found in aquatic habitats. This extremely transparent and large species (up to 2 centimetres across) is a predator of other water fleas. Its large eyes are clearly seen at lower left. Magnification: x20 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
