Caption: Water boiling under low pressure. Close-up footage of water boiling under low pressure in a gas jar as the air is evacuated using a pump. At room temperature and 1 atmosphere of pressure, water boils at around 100 degrees Celsius. This boiling point drops as the pressure decreases.
