Caption: Antique Lithograph Published 1860 by Edmonston & Douglas, Edinburgh for "The Instructive Picture Book, or a Few Lessons from the Natural History of Animals" by Adam White. Fine, origional hand colour. Darwin was struck by how human an orangutan could be (note Jenny in London zoo). Here the author shows how one orang utan can sympathise with another.
