Antibiotic sensitivity testing by agar diffusion test. A method that determine the effectiveness of antibiotics against bacteria. Antibiotic discs are placed on a bacterial culture and diffuse into the culture medium. A sensitive species will show a zone of inhibition while uninhibited bacterial growth will indicate resistance against a certain antibiotic substance.
