Caption: Animation of a beating heart, seen from the front after the front wall has been removed. This view shows the valves that open and close to regulate blood flow. At left is the tricuspid valve that lets blood flow from the right atrium to the right ventricle. Visible to its right here is the mitral (tricuspid) valve, which admits blood from the left atrium to the left ventricle. Prominent above this is the aortic valve, which controls blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta and the rest of the body. This clip is loopable. This clip is available on a transparent background, see clip K005 5221.
