Caption: Obelia hydrozoan. Light microscope footage of a polyp from a colony of Obelia sp. hydrozoans. These sessile marine hydrozoans form stalked colonies. The polyps' tentacles are used to capture passing plankton organisms on which they feed. There is also a free swimming medusa stage. Magnification: x44 at 10 centimetres wide.
