Caption: A view of the NA35 experiment at CERN, the European particle physics laboratory outside Geneva. The experiment, commissioned in 1986, is designed to study the collisions of atomic nuclei (ions) accelerated to record high energies in CERN's complex of particle accelerators. The core of the detector is a sensitive streamer chamber. NA35 is a collaboration of 59 physicists from 15 institutions in 8 countries.
