Caption: White rhino (Ceratotherium simum) and young. Female white rhinoceros with her calf. Also known as square-lipped rhinos, these large herbivores live on the grasslands of southern Sudan and South Africa. The adults feed on grass, using their broad lips to graze. Due to extensive hunting for their horns, white rhinos are now highly endangered. Photographed in Zimanga Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
