Caption: Water being heated by a Bunsen burner. When water is heated, gases dissolved in it come out of solution to form as bubbles, long before boiling point is reached. This occurs because the hotter the gases get, the more mobile their atoms become, until they have enough energy to break free of the forces holding them in the water.
