Caption: Tufted capuchin (Cebus apella). This arboreal (tree-dwelling) new world monkey inhabits the rainforests and dry lowland areas of South America. It feeds mainly on fruits and invertebrates and its tail can be used for grasping. Like other capuchins it is a social monkey, living in groups of up to around 15 individuals that are led by a dominant male.
