The cell's nucleus (dark purple) contains chromatin (light purple). In the cell's cytoplasm (blue) are many enzyme-containing granules (green), used to destroy invading organisms. Eosinophils are found in many connective tissues. They are involved in the body's allergic response and help to defend the body from invading parasites. Magnification: x8000 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
