Caption: 'The Starry Messenger' title page. This work, published in London in 1645 by the English astrologer and occultist William Lilly (1602-1681) celebrated the presence of 'triple Suns' on the birthday of King Charles in 1644. It also announced, and made some predictions about the effects of, the solar eclipse of 11 August 1645.
