Caption: An immature Jackal buzzard (Buteo rufofuscus), also known as the Augur buzzard, taking off from a rocky outcrop in the Kgalagadi transfrontier park in Southern Africa. This medium-sized bird of prey is usually found in mountainous regions in southern Africa and is not common in the Kgalagadi transfrontier park. It feeds on small mammals, birds and snakes.
