Caption: Leo J. Berberich, US electrical engineer. Berberich published papers on electrical physics in the 1930s and 1940s, with patents in his name for his work on capacitors, dielectrics and other electrical components. In the 1930s, he worked at the Electrical Engineering Department, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He also worked for the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company. Berberich also served on committees such as the Electrical Insulation Committee (EIC), helping to set standards for electrical wires and insulation. This standards work was done for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
