Caption: Edwin Atlee Jackson, US physicist. Jackson worked as the Director of the Center for Complex Systems Research (founded in 1986), based at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, and has taught and performed research on nonlinear dynamics for forty years. He is the author of several books on the topic, including: Equilibrium Statistical Mechanics (1968), Perspectives of Nonlinear Dynamics (1989), and Exploring Nature's Dynamics (2001).
