H. bilis is a Gram-negative spiral-shaped bacterium found in the intestines of rodents, dogs and cats. It may be zoonotic (transmissible from animals to humans) but research is inconclusive (as of 2009). Magnification: x22,850 when printed 10 centimetres tall.
