Bleomycin is produced by the bacterium Streptomyces verticillus and is used as an anti-cancer agent. It is used in chemotherapy for the treatment of Hodgkin's lymphoma, squamous cell carcinomas, and testicular cancer, as well as in the treatment plantar warts.
