Caption: Sea urchin larva. Sea urchins have no visible eyes, legs, or means of propulsion, but can move freely over surfaces by means of adhesive tube feet, working in conjunction with its spines. They build their spicules, the sharp crystalline 'bones' that constitute the animal’s endoskeleton at the larval stage. Photographed off the coast of Reunion Island, Indian Ocean.
