Caption: Cassiterite is tin oxide, and the most important ore of the element tin. It frequently occurs in good crystals, but equally important are the massive and so-called 'botryoidal' varieties such as the material from Pinos, Mexico. Botryoidal means shaped like 'a bunch of grapes', which well describes the specimen shown.
