Caption: Australian vineyard. View over the vines of a vineyard in the McLaren Vale. McLaren Vale is a wine region in South Australia, approximately 35 kilometres south of Adelaide. The region was first planted in 1838 and some vines more than 100 years old are still producing wine today. The majority of cellars in the region are family-run or boutique wineries. McLaren Vale is famous for producing some of the best Shiraz in Australia, and is arguably one of the premier Shiraz-growing regions of the world.
