Caption: ENVISAT satellite construction. Engineers assembling and constructing the ENVISAT satellite. This satellite, launched in 2002 by the European Space Agency (ESA), is designed to make observations of the Earth using a variety of scientific instruments. At the time, it was the largest satellite launched by ESA. Photographed at the ESTEC (European Space research and Technological Center) site in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
