Caption: Argan oil production. Rock being used to crack open a nut from the argan tree (Argania spinosa). Inside the nut are seeds which are roasted and ground to extract the oil. Argan oil is used for its nutritional, cosmetic and medicinal properties. The argan tree is endemic to south-western Morocco, and the oil is produced by traditional means by the Berber population in the region. Photographed in Morocco.
