Caption: Plant fungus research. Researchers using a microscope to examine the Botrytis cinerea fungus on a plant specimen. Fluorescent proteins have been inserted in the fungus. This means it glows green, making it easier to see. Botrytis cinerea causes grey mould on many plant species, most notably grapes where it has adverse effects on wine production (viticulture).
