They are created by dissolving natural materials such as cellulose or wood pulp, which are then regenerated by extrusion and precipitation. Cellulose fibres are one of the world's most useful and abundant natural materials. They are the main component of cell walls in most plants, and they give wood its strength and resilience. Cellulose consists of chains of linked sugar molecules. Cellulose fibres are used in a variety of products including: textiles, paper products and diapers because of their strength, durability and ability to absorb and transport water.
