Caption: Coastal erosion. Eroded coastline at Happisburgh, Norfolk, UK. The Norfolk area of the English coastline is particularly prone to erosion by the sea, and some areas are eroding at a rate of nine metres a year. This erosion is threatening settlements along the coast, such as the buildings on the cliff in the background. Photographed in August 2008.
