Caption: Tulip (Tulipa sp.) flower. Close-up of the centre of a tulip flower showing the reproductive parts. Six stamens can be seen in a ring around the stigma (pale yellow, centre), which is on the end of a thick style. Each stamen consists of an anther (black, sausage-shaped) on the end of a filament (also black). The anthers are covered in black pollen grains, some of which can be seen dotted on the surface of the stigma.
