Caption: Plastinated body exhibit, following dissection. The technique of plastination conserves dead bodies by replacing water and fat with plastic. The technique preserves detailed anatomy, so the bodies can be dissected and put on display. Here, different levels of dissection have revealed skin layers, muscle layers, the bones, nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs such as the intestines and brain. The anatomy of the ears, eyes, nose and teeth are also shown. Photographed at the 'Our Body' exhibition, in Lyon, France.
