Individual florets are grouped together on stems to form the lavender flowers (inflorescence). Lavender flowers are a popular source of fragrance. They can be dried and used in pot-pourri or processed to produce an essential oil, used in aromatherapy and perfumes. Magnification: x210 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
