Caption: Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment. Image 2 of 2. Combined computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) scan of a Hodgkin's lymphoma patient after treatment by chemotherapy. Hodgkin's lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph nodes. This is an axial scan, passing horizontally through the body at the level of the chest. The heart is at centre. The cancerous areas are no longer present. This is 2-18F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) positron emission tomography. FDG is a radioactive tracer that can be used to identify cancer sites. For the same patient scanned before treatment, see image C001/7587.
