Caption: Plants from the Carrot family (Umbelifer) have large numbers of small flowers arranged in a large flat or dome-shaped head known as an umbel. In species such as Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) these are compound umbels made up of a collection of secondary (or partial) umbels. Here the structure of the secondary umbels can be seen.
