Caption: MODEL RELEASED. Acne scar treatment. Newly formed crusts on the forehead, cheeks and chin of a woman following treatment with a chemical peel using low pH glycolic acid. The crusts will eventually fall off to reveal the new skin underneath, which will have reduced acne scarring. Acne vulgaris is a skin disorder in which the sebaceous glands of the skin become inflamed. It usually occurs in adolescence but can continue through adulthood in severe cases. For a series of images of this patient undergoing treatment see C001/8208 - C001/8211. To view this woman after treatment, see C001/8212.
