Caption: Fibroblast skin cells. Fluorescence light micrograph of fibroblast cells from human skin. Fibroblasts are cells that form connective tissue. These cells have been stained to show the cell membranes (red) and the Golgi complexes (green). The bubble-like areas show the presence of ceramides, waxy lipid molecules found in cell membranes. The cell nuclei (rounded) are also seen. Magnification: x560 when printed at 10 centimetres across.
