Caption: Serpiginous choroiditis. Fundoscopy image of the retina of a patient's right eye in a case of serpiginous choroiditis. The retina is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. Serpiginous choroiditis is a chronic progressive inflammatory disease. It is a form of inflammation of the choroid, the vascular coating of the eye. If the retina is also involved, it is known as chorioretinitis. This condition is also a form of posterior uveitis.
