Caption: Glyptodon mammal being attacked by wild dogs, illustration. Glyptodon lived in what is now Argentina during the Pleistocene about 1.8 million years ago to 10,000 years ago. It was a relative of today's armadillos. It reached the size and weight of a small car, some 3.3 metres long and 2 tonnes in weight.
