Caption: Huge spawning aggregation of sailfin snapper fish (Symphorichthys spilurus). Such aggregations can contain over 10,000 fish, with some estimates of double that. The huge school remains together around reefs for some 4-6 weeks, before dispersing and disappearing. Outside the breeding season the fish live solitary lives. Filmed in Peleliu, Palau.
