Ouabain, also known as g-strophanthin, is a plant derived toxic substance that was traditionally used as an arrow poison in eastern Africa for both hunting and warfare. It is a cardiac glycoside and in lower doses, can be used in he treatment of hypertension and some arrhythmias. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white) and oxygen (red).
