Caption: T-2 mycotoxin. Molecular model of T-2 mycotoxin (C24.H34.O9). This is a naturally occurring mold by-product of Fusarium spp. fungus which is toxic to humans and animals. It causes alimentary toxic aleukia (ATA) and symptoms related to organs as diverse as the skin, airway, and stomach. T-2 can be absorbed through human skin. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white) and oxygen (red).
