Caption: US truck carrying a ground-controlled approach (GCA) radar system on a landing field in Etain, France. GCA is used to land aircraft in difficult conditions. A radar operator tracks an aircraft's descent angle and course and gives the pilot verbal instruction to guide him in to land. Photographed in the spring of 1945.
