Caption: Edna Hilburn Little Greenwood (1888-1972), US collector. Edna Hilburn Little Greenwood was a collector of early American antiques, mainly from rural New England. She collected household and farm items which revealed life and culture in 18th century America. The Greenwood collection of over 2,200 objects was donated to the Smithsonian Institution in 1951 and ranged from samplers to an entire historic building. This photograph shows Leonard Carmichael with Edna Little Greenwood when she was made an honorary Smithsonian Fellow in 1956.
