Caption: Diving school narcosis test. Student diver carrying out a psychological test in a decompression chamber. The air in the chamber is compressed to the equivalent of a depth of 50 metres, inducing the effects of narcosis, caused by the effect of breathing nitrogen at high pressures. During the test, the analytical abilities and reaction times of the student are observed by the instructor (top left). Photographed in 2017, at the Ecole Nationale des Scaphandriers (ENS), a diving school at Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, France.
