Caption: Detroit tram advertising. Woman completing the 'i' in a promotional sculpture for a new tram (streetcar) system in Detroit, Michigan. Known as QLine (the naming rights were acquired by Quicken Loans), this is the first tram system in the city since 1956. The floor sign encourages people to 'stand', 'snap' and 'share' photographs. This tram system runs for 5.3 kilometres along Woodward Avenue (M-1), operating on electric batteries and overhead electric power lines. It is operated by M-1 Rail, and is expected to transport several thousand passengers daily. Photographed on the opening day of 12 May 2017.
