Caption: Periclimenes commensal shrimp (Periclemenes holthuisi) on its host. This shrimp is found on invertebrate hosts like bubble coral, mushroom coral, and sea anemones. The host is not harmed by the shrimp, nor does it derive any benefit from carrying it. This type of relationship is called commensalism, a type of symbiosis. Photographed in Lembeh Strait, off Sulawesi, Indonesia.
