Kocuria sp. are a non-motile bacteria that occurs in freshwater, saltwater and in soil environments. A strain of Kocuria rosea has been show to have keratinolytic activity and thus degrades feathers. Magnification: x2,200 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.
