Kobelt was secretary for two famous Rockefeller Institute biologists: German-US physiologist Jacques Loeb (1859-1924) and US botanist Winthrop John Van Leuven Osterhout (1894-1961). Kobelt compiled the definitive bibliography of Loeb's works after his death.
