Caption: Hurricane Gustav evacuation. Queues of cars east-bound on Interstate-10 evacuating New Orleans, USA, to escape Hurricane Gustav. Gustav caused serious damage and casualties in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Cuba and the United States. It caused at least 8.5 billion dollars (USD) of damage and triggered the largest evacuation in United States history, with over 3 million people fleeing their homes. Photographed on 30th August 2008.
